20,000 More Troops?
Bush is going to announce on wed. that he wants to send 20,000 more troops..what's up with that?? I'm tired of hearing how our troops are dying, getting seriously injured or the fact that they have been over there for years without seeing their families. The whole thing makes me sick. What has the US turned into?

Well, I say that if we think this truly is the fight of our time against terrorism, then why are we not sending every available troop over there to beat the crap out of the enemy? I think for regional strategic reasons, it is important to have Iraq be a success. Perhaps it will change the course of things in Iran or other Arab countries. I have a lot of faith in my brothers and friends who are over there and want the people and our President to give them whatever they need to do their job. Mine may not be the popular view, but I probably have a unique personal feeling for the troops given my family and background.
